About Me/Contact

My obsession with dragonflies and damselflies began in 1995 when I was recruited to help out with surveying these insects in Washington state. I got hooked right away and I still can't get enough.

I took up photography of dragonflies and damselflies in 2006 and many of my better photos can be viewed on my web site Odonata.Bogfoot.net.

I have been involved with the Dragonfly Society of the Americas in various ways—most notably since 2004 as an Associate Editor laying out the Society's publications Argia and Bulletin of American Odonatology, and serving on the Executive Council as a Regular Member from 2005 to 2011.

I regularly present talks and workshops on odonates each year, and have done so for the Audubon Society of Portland, The Wetlands Conservancy, the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, and the Oregon State Arthropod Collection at Oregon State University. If you are interested in having me present to an organization or group let me know.

I am always happy to answer questions and help identify photographed odonates. Just send me an e-mail.
